Everyone loves a bargain. We all want to pay a little and get a lot. But in health plans, as in other important buying decisions, you get what you pay for.
If you're employed, you decide about a health plan during an "open enrollment" period set by your employer. If you're 65 or older, you are probably covered by Medicare and could be considering a "replacement" health plan. In either case, the best time to think about your choice of health plans is now - not when you need health care at some future time. You cannot predict when something will happen, so you need a health plan that offers the right choices for you all the time.
