Methodist Boerne Emergency Center, a department of Methodist Hospital, offers a unique health care model, using sophisticated telecommunications technologies to link the emergency center to all the resources of Methodist Healthcare hospitals and physicians in San Antonio, providing timely urgent care with the depth of resources of an acute care hospital.

Convenience

Medical Services are offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The facility includes 15 treatment rooms providing a full range of services, including radiology, telemetry and a full service laboratory, offering the benefits of immediate intervention for serious emergencies when treatment time is critical.

Comprehensive Treatment

Our center includes: two trauma/cardiac care rooms; nine emergency/treatment rooms and four fast-track non-urgent treatment rooms for minor emergencies. Our on-site diagnostic equipment includes: 16-slice CT scanner, dedicated imaging suite, ultrasound and telemetry equipment. Use of a Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) allows staff to electronically transmit diagnostic images from the Methodist Boerne Emergency Center to any Methodist hospital emergency department for seamless follow-up and expert evaluation.

Expert Medical Services

Board-certified/board-eligible emergency medical physicians; an all Registered Nurse staff specializing in emergency medical care; radiology, laboratory technicians and 24 hour ultrasound coverage ; on-call specialty physicians available for consultation; emergency-trained staff to treat emergency situations like heart attacks, broken bones, stomach ailments, asthma attacks and anything else a person would normally go to an emergency room to treat.
