Dr. Allende received his medical degree from National University Cardoba Medical School, Cardoba, Argentina, in 1974. After his time abroad, he completed his internship in 1975 at the State University of New York in Stony Brook. He spent more time in New York state as he completed his residency at St. Clere's Hospital and Health Center in 1976, followed by the completion of his fellowship in 1979 at the University of New York in Rochester. In addition, Dr. Allende is board certified and actively involved in many medical associations. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Gastroenterology Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Ednoscopy, Bexar County Medical Society, Hispanic American Medical Society of Texas, Texas Medical Association, and the Texas Society of Gastrointestiona.
