Robotic surgery in San Antonio
Our surgeons use robot-assisted technology to perform the most advanced procedures. This allows our surgeons to make small incisions in order to insert robotic arms and perform the procedure with the maximum amount of precision. The magnified, 3D view allows the surgeon to perform complex procedures including prostate, open-heart and urological surgeries.
In addition, our orthopedic team has become one of San Antonio’s leading providers of knee replacements using this minimally invasive, computer-assisted technology.
Surgical ICU
Our 35,000-square-foot surgical ICU includes 24 private rooms designed with exceptional patient care in mind. Each room is equipped with ceiling-mounted patient lift systems to assist in routine patient ambulation when appropriate. We also have nurse substations that sit between every two rooms and board-certified critical care physicians available day and night.
Getting to the surgery center
Our surgical unit and surgical ICU are located on the fifth floor. We offer open visiting hours until 8 p.m.
