Liver transplant surgery
To undergo liver transplant surgery, we must first have a referral from your physician. Once we receive the initial referral and your medical records, we will verify your transplant insurance benefits with your insurance company.
Next, we will schedule a half-day appointment where you will meet with our transplant team. We will administer medical, psychosocial and diagnostic tests. After this initial appointment, our team will determine if you are a good candidate for liver transplant surgery.
Histotripsy
Our facility is leading the way as one of the first in the nation to offer histotripsy. This groundbreaking, noninvasive treatment uses focused ultrasound to precisely destroy targeted tissue of liver tumors without heat, radiation or incisions. This noninvasive treatment option reduces risk to surrounding healthy tissue and supports a faster recovery. Often, depending on their severity, liver tumors can be destroyed in as little as one treatment and may be performed without interrupting other cancer therapies.
