On Wednesday, November 13 at 7:00am, the free-standing MethodistER Westover Hills will be permanently transitioning emergency care services to the new Methodist Hospital Westover Hills.
Medical records will be available in the MyHealthOne patient portal. Patients can be seen at the emergency room at Methodist Hospital Westover Hills or any of the Methodist Healthcare emergency departments.

What is a free-standing emergency department?
A free-standing emergency department is a full-service, emergency center that is physically separate from a hospital. You can think of us as your neighborhood ER.
Our compassionate medical professionals work to stabilize critical patients experiencing a variety of conditions, including:
- Heart attack
- Cardiac arrest
- Respiratory arrest
- Cardiac arrhythmias
- Cerebrovascular accident (stroke)
- Trauma
- Overdose
- Seizures
- Pulmonary conditions
Once stabilized, patients are transported to a Methodist Healthcare facility in San Antonio, Texas, if necessary.
