Emergency care is the treatment of unexpected, severe medical injuries or infections. It is typically delivered in an emergency room or an ambulance. Our emergency medicine physicians stabilize your condition as quickly as possible to prepare you for the next step of care or discharge.

At Methodist Hospital | Stone Oak, our elite team of dedicated trauma surgeons, nationally-certified trauma program manager and highly skilled nurses is committed to treating your traumatic injuries with rapid response and the highest level of care close to your home.

As a Level III Advanced Trauma Center, we are equipped with cutting-edge technology, dedicated resources and 24/7 trauma surgeon coverage. Our surgeons, who are all instructors for the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) program, use their expertise to train our nurses and other providers on the most advanced and reliable approaches to caring for our critically injured patients. Our specialty physicians across Methodist Hospital | Stone Oak closely collaborate with our trauma team to ensure you receive the continuity of exceptional care you deserve from trauma care to orthopedic surgery or neurosurgery to rehabilitation.

Our track record for speed from the time of patient's arrival to a completed angioplasty—a procedure we use to open blocked arteries and restore normal blood flow—far exceeds the national standards. Our ER physicians collaborate with our heart specialists to deliver complete care and minimize the effects of life-threatening conditions like heart attacks, heart failure or other major cardiac events.

Visiting our ER

The ER entrance is off Hardy Oak Boulevard at the Meisner Drive intersection. Turn into the hospital and stay straight on the road, following signs toward the ER.

Visitor parking is available in front of the hospital by the main entrance. Parking is free. We also offer valet services for $8 per day, per visit, or $12 for unlimited in-and-out privileges.
