Methodist Hospital Atascosa has appointed Harpreet Sharma as its new chief nursing officer and chief operating officer. Sharma brings more than 25 years of healthcare experience to the role, most recently serving as assistant chief nursing officer at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake and HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland, where she also served as interim chief nursing officer.
Throughout her career, Sharma has demonstrated a strong commitment to enhancing colleague, physician and patient engagement while supporting operational excellence, clinical quality and patient experience. In her most recent role, she provided nursing executive leadership across two campuses, with oversight of emergency services, critical care, cardiovascular care, women’s services, surgical care and other key nursing operations.

Before joining Methodist Hospital Atascosa, Sharma built a progressive nursing leadership career within HCA Healthcare, guiding teams through quality, safety, colleague engagement and patient experience initiatives. In her new role, she will help advance the hospital’s focus on operational excellence, clinical quality and patient-centered care for the Atascosa community.
