Methodist Hospital Texsan CEO receives 2025 Momentum Award
San Antonio, Texas — Methodist Hospital Texsan is pleased to share that CEO Esther Kwon has been awarded Trinity University’s 2025 Momentum Award, a recognition given to alumni who demonstrate sustained leadership, measurable impact, and forward movement in their organizations and communities.
The Momentum Award recognizes early careerists aged 40 and under for outstanding achievements in the field of healthcare management and gives an opportunity to celebrate the outstanding impact of our alumni.
Kwon was nominated by her peers for her ability to stabilize operations, strengthen team performance, and guide Texsan through operational opportunities.
“Esther brings a unique combination of operational discipline, clarity of mission, and deep commitment to the communities she serves,” said Brin Cole, COO of Methodist Hospital Texsan. “Her leadership at Texsan has reshaped how we function, collaborate, and advance our mission.”
Kwon’s leadership has been shaped by significant operational responsibility across large healthcare facilities, including guiding teams through the early phases of the COVID-19 pandemic. She is known for establishing structure, strengthening communication, and helping organizations maintain stability in rapidly changing environments.
Kwon credits her team for the hospital’s continued success. “Momentum is never built alone,” she said. “Texsan’s strength comes from a unified team who care for our community and for one another, and who live by our mission of 'Serving Humanity to Honor God'.”
Esther Kwon joined Methodist Hospital Texsan in May of 2023.
