Methodist Hospital Metropolitan has appointed David Heckman as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Heckman brings 26 years of experience within Methodist Healthcare to the role, most recently as CFO at Methodist Hospital Northeast, a position he’s held since 2023. He has also held positions as Vice President of Finance at Methodist Hospital and CFO of Methodist Hospital Texsan.

During his tenure at Methodist Hospital Northeast, Heckman played a key role on the hospital’s senior leadership team, contributing to the facility’s growth and enhancing its operational performance. His strategic leadership brought about stronger financial margins and substantial cost reductions, improving hospital efficiency. Heckman also provided capital expenditure oversight in line with strategic and growth initiatives, including the hospital’s recent announcement of a $146 million patient tower expansion.

“We are thrilled to be welcoming David back to Methodist Hospital Metropolitan, where he once served as a financial analyst,” said Greg Seiler, CEO of Methodist Hospital Metropolitan. “The experience he brings will prove invaluable to our facility and community as we continue our commitment to exceptional patient care, experience, and healthcare access. I have no doubt that he’ll make an excellent addition to, and positive impact on, our team.”

Heckman earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is a Certified Public Accountant. He will assume his new role this month.
