Saving lives and spreading smiles with Winston the Elf

San Antonio, Texas — Holiday cheer has filled the halls within Methodist Hospital | Stone Oak as employees across various departments welcomed a special holiday visitor – Winston, the cheerful Elf on the Shelf! 

During the month of December, employees took turns setting up Winston in fun, creative ways that showcased the e

ssential work they do behind the scenes to deliver exceptional care every day. From keeping supply bins filled to stocking the linen and answering phones, Winston was an honorary member of each department in some way. 

At times, Winston needed magical medical assistance from his colleagues to ensure he was kept safe and healthy throughout his hospital visit. The hospital’s clinical dietitians shared a full diabetic diet education with Winston, while nurses checked vitals to keep him happy and healthy throughout the holiday season. 

Winston’s adventures joyfully spotlighted the care, dedication, and compassion the hospital offers patients.
