Cardiac Electrophysiologist Carlos A. Román, MD, FACC is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, and he practices at the Medical Center and Boerne locations of Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio.
He was inspired to pursue medicine by Dr. Christiaan Barnard who performed the world's first successful heart transplant. He chose to specialize in cardiology largely because of his mother’s cardiac problems.
