About Daniel T DeArmond, MD
Biography
Dr. DeArmond specializes in minimally invasive thoracic surgery: Performs video-assisted thoracoscopic (VATS) and robotic-assisted pulmonary, esophageal, and mediastinal surgery with an emphasis on VATS lobectomy for treatment of lung cancer. Provides all facets of lung transplantation including donor management, donor/recipient selection, pre-operative work-up, surgery, and post-operative care.

We are committed to maximizing the benefits of surgery of the lung while minimizing the risks, also known as “enhanced recovery after surgery”. This starts with our program having the highest commitment to minimally invasive lung surgery of any thoracic surgery program in the state of Texas and one of the highest in the United States.
