David R. Schmidt, MD

David R. Schmidt, M.D., received his medical degree and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he was named the 2002 Distinguished Medical Alumnus. He completed fellowships in sports medicine and knee surgery in Sydney, Australia, and Auckland, New Zealand. Dr. Schmidt has been in private practice since 1986. He served as physician for the U.S. Olympic Festival, the World University Games in Japan, the Olympic Games
