Biography
Dr. Jaime Mayoral was born in Dixon, California. He earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of California at Davis. He then went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1985 and completed his General Surgery Residency in 1993. Additionally, Dr. Mayoral completed fellowships in Surgical Infectious Disease in 1991, Laparoscopic Surgery in 1994 and Colon and Rectal Surgery in 1995. Dr. Mayoral is board certified in general surgery and colon and rectal surgery. He specializes in complicated colon and rectal surgical diseases and provides personalized patient care. Additionally, Dr. Mayoral is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing him to communicate effectively with the greater San Antonio community. He believes that every patient's problem, simple or complex, can be managed and treated with compassion and understanding. Having served in the United States Army for more than twenty years, Dr. Mayoral is proud to continue his service through teaching military surgical residents, and providing them with a unique educational opportunity.
