About Robert G Girling, MD
Biography
When he was just a boy, around seven or eight years old, Orthopaedic Surgeon Bob Girling was attending board meetings for a successful home health family business and fully expected to follow his grandmother - an entrepreneur and family matriarch into the business world. But at age 15, Dr. Girling ruptured his spleen during a snowboarding accident and was airlifted from the top of a mountain to a hospital where his career path veered in another direction.

Care Philosophy
"Knee and hip replacements are often considered "elective" procedures, but for patients living with the pain associated with osteoarthritis, traumatic arthritis or rheumatoid arthritis in the knee or hip, surgery to repair or replace the damaged joint won't seem like it's elective. For them, it's necessary. Then to have them come back in the office and tell me how much it changed their life - that's so rewarding."
