Dr. Jaafar started his medical practice in Hondo in 1996 after completing his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

While in Hondo, he directed the emergency room for Medina Community Hospital. From Hondo, Dr. Jaafar moved to Castroville and Bandera in 1999 and formed Medcare Associates, a medical practice comprised of physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
