Specialized programs and services for high-risk pregnancy care
Neonatal intensive care units
We offer a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Methodist Children’s Hospital, Methodist Hospital Metropolitan and Methodist Hospital Stone Oak for infants who need extra care. Our in-house, board-certified neonatologists and advanced nurse practitioners provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week to meet the special healthcare needs of your infant.
Perinatal navigation
Our perinatal navigator is available to help high risk maternal patients navigate through the complex healthcare system as you prepare for the delivery of your baby, at no additional cost. The navigator partners with healthcare team members, providers, and specialists to help develop a plan of care to achieve the best possible outcomes. You will receive the emotional support, education, and care coordination you may need along your journey. Please speak with your provider to enroll in this service.
Emergency maternal transportation
We provide 24/7 emergency transport care for mothers who have high-risk pregnancies or mothers who develop unforeseen complications. Our maternal transport team will bring you directly to Methodist Hospital with all of the medical support you need, including a critical-care paramedic and an experienced labor/delivery nurse. From small towns located nearby to communities a few hundred miles away, our helicopter, airplane, or ambulance will provide you with safe, emergent care.
